Slight delay on season-ticket arrivals

Fans will have to wait an extra few days for their 2010/11 season tickets.

Fans will have to wait an extra few days for their 2010/11 season tickets

The club had hoped to have all the 8,000-plus booklets in the post by this weekend, but has now been told that the tickets themselves won't arrive at The Valley from suppliers until Friday afternoon.

Managing director Stephen Kavanagh said: "We are frustrated by the delay and apologise for it, but it is out of our hands.

"The important thing is we get the message across to fans that their season ticket will be with them in good time for the start of the season and hasn't gone missing in the post.”

Preparatory work for the mail-out has already been done and the club now expects season tickets to be dispatched first class through next week, with most, if not all, arriving by Saturday, July 31st.

Further updates will be provided on the club's official website, together with advice about when to contact the club if your ticket does not arrive, but supporters are currently being asked not to do so before Monday, August 2nd, as the explanation prior to that is likely to be that it has not been dispatched.

Meanwhile, sales had reached 8,280 by Thursday afternoon.

Season tickets can be ordered by phone on 0871 226 1905* except where proof of age is required from new junior or senior/U21 purchasers, while an application form can be can be downloaded here.
