Guillem Bauza, Akpo Sodje, Miguel Llera and Tamer Tuna were on target as Charlton eased to a comfortable 4-0 friendly win against Kettering Town on Saturday.
Trialist Bauza opened the scoring just past the half-hour mark with a neat finish to give the Addicks a 1-0 half-time lead at Rockingham Road.
A header from Sodje - his second in five days - doubled the visitors' advantage, and there was no way back for the Blue Square Premier Poppies when Llera's deflected free-kick made it 3-0.
The scoring was completed just before the final whistle when new professional Tuna netted from close range.
Twenty-four hours after completing a free transfer from Sheffield United, winger Kyel Reid made his first appearance of Charlton's pre-season campaign, and there was also a first outing for Christian Dailly in 2010/11 after the Addicks player of the year signed a new contract in midweek. The centre-half took the captain's armband.
It was former Swansea City forward Bauza who caught the eye early on, however, when he converted a lay-off by Sodje, who had stolen possession from a dawdling defender, on the right-hand side of the area after 32 minutes.
Sodje was denied by Kettering custodian Nathan Abbey six minutes later, but the Town goalkeeper could do nothing to thwart Sodje's header following a fine Scott Wagstaff cross after 53 minutes.
By that stage, Dailly had departed proceedings after getting a valuable 45 minutes under his belt, and his half-time replacement, Llera, was the next to find the net.
In truth, however, the Spaniard's free-kick took a wicked deflection past the helpless Abbey before entering the net to make it 3-0.
As the match entered the final 30 minutes, manager Phil Parkinson made a series of changes, with former Addick Jonathan Fortune again entering the fray, and partnering Llera at the back.
There were also outings for youngsters Tosan Popo and Ben Davisson, while Reid replaced trialist James Mulley with 23 minutes remaining.
Indeed, it was the pacy winger who created the final goal of the match in the 88th minute, when his incisive run and cross found Tuna in front of goal, although Town were perhaps unfortunate not to see the lineman's flag go up.
Speaking after the match, boss Parkinson said: "I was pleased with our performance, and it was a good work-out for us.
"I think we moved up a level in terms of our fitness; most of the lads who started played 60 or 75 minutes, and the ones who didn't will do so against Bedford in midweek.
"Kettering are a decent side, and the whole squad did well. The senior players did what they had to do and I was pleased with youngsters who came on as well.
"Christian completed 45 minutes and Kyel came on for the last 25, and it's just a case of easing them in and planning everything out at this stage of the season. All of the substitutions were pre-planned and we got through the match without any injuries, which is good to see.
"Overall, it was just a good all-round team display."
